This transfer service whisks backcountry skiers to Callaghan Lake for an early morning start at the notoriously abundant and supercooled white-stuff of the Upper Callaghan Valley>>. At this time, the snow shuttle's passenger list is limited to persons equipped for alpine ski touring and having an intent to explore the pristine wilderness of the Telemagique Traverse or the deep powder pockets of Morning Glory before descending back to the parking lot via Wild Spirit or Mainline trails at the end of the day (4:15pm). Please note that all participants are required to sign a Waiver of Liability>> on-site when checking in for the snow shuttle.

BACKCOUNTRY SKIING ADVISORY
Once you leave the groomed x-country ski trail surfaces of Callaghan Country you have entered backcountry terrain. You are entering the wilderness and are advised to be prepared for any and all eventualities including: terrain that is uncontrolled, unmarked, and involves many risks, dangers and hazards in addition to that of avalanche. Other hazards exist and may include, but are not limited to: cornices; crevasses; cliffs; trees, tree wells; tree stumps; forest dead fall; creeks; rocks; rockfall; boulders; holes and depressions on or below the snow surface; open water; variable and difficult snow conditions; hypothermia, snow immersion, equipment failure; encounters with domestic and wild animals, nightfall and the possibility of a medical emergency. Carry a cell phone with good batteries and be aware that there may be areas of poor reception and /or transmission. Ensure you are properly dressed and equipped with appropriate safety gear and the knowledge to use it effectively. Your safety and well being are completely your own responsibility. Rescue services are accessed by dialing 911 and requesting RCMP assistance. THE BACKCOUNTRY IS NOT PATROLLED. NEVER SKI ALONE.
Ride is approx. 45 min. to an hour (skiers must return to their vehicles by closing time (4:15pm)
Departure from the Alexander Falls Touring Centre is scheduled for 8:30am sharp, every Saturday & Sunday morning. Everyone must ensure they are back down at the the base area by closing time 4:30pm. No vehicles are to be left in parking lot after 4:30pm as that will trigger a missing persons report with the RCMP.
